POOL FILTER REPAIR &
REPLACEMENT IN
NAPLES FL

A malfunctioning filter ruins water clarity and strains your entire circulation system. We diagnose and repair sand, cartridge, and DE filters — or recommend the right replacement when repair isn't cost-effective. All brands, all types, same-day service available.

POOL FILTER REPAIR & REPLACEMENT

Your pool filter is the heart of water clarity. When it fails or performs poorly, your water turns cloudy within hours and algae begins to bloom. We service all three filter types — sand, cartridge, and DE — diagnosing electrical failures, pressure anomalies, media breakdown, and structural damage.

SAND FILTERS

Sand filters use silica sand to trap particles as water flows through. Over time, sand clogs, loses effectiveness, or breaks down into smaller granules. Repairs include sand replacement, multiport valve repair, lateral system reconstruction, and tank leak sealing. Sand filter repairs typically range $150-$400.

CARTRIDGE FILTERS

Cartridge filters use pleated paper elements — quieter and more efficient than sand filters. When cartridges fail, they're usually replaced. However, we also repair filter heads, bypass valve failures, and tank cracks. Cartridge filter repairs range $200-$600 depending on the issue.

DE (DIATOMACEOUS EARTH) FILTERS

DE filters offer superior filtration but require more maintenance. Common problems include broken grids, torn filter bags, multiport valve failure, and lateral system damage. DE filter repairs range $300-$800 because grid replacement is labor-intensive and materials cost more.

REPAIR VERSUS REPLACEMENT

If your filter is under 10 years old and repair costs are less than 50% of replacement, we typically recommend repair. Older filters, multiple problems, or failed lateral systems often make replacement the smarter financial choice. We provide written estimates before any work begins — no surprises.

POOL FILTER PROBLEMS
TO ADDRESS IMMEDIATELY

Cloudy water, high pressure, or visible damage means your filter needs professional repair. Don't let poor filtration compromise water quality.

CLOUDY OR MURKY WATER

Visible particles or haze indicates your filter is not trapping particles effectively — either the media is clogged or broken down.

HIGH PRESSURE GAUGE

A pressure reading above normal indicates clogged filter media or a failing valve. Continuing to run at high pressure damages equipment.

WATER LEAKING FROM FILTER

Leaks at seams, joints, or the tank indicate seal or structural failure. The filter tank must be pressure-tight to function.

VISIBLE CRACKS OR RUST

Cracks in a sand or DE tank, or rust on metal tanks, compromise structural integrity and cause water to bypass filtration.

BROKEN LATERALS

Cracked or broken lateral tubes inside a sand filter cause sand to enter the return jets. You'll notice sand in your return lines.

MULTIPORT VALVE FAILURE

A stuck valve prevents proper filter operation. The valve may not rotate smoothly or doesn't seal between positions.

POOL FILTER REPAIR — FAQ

Sand filter repairs typically range $150-$400. Cartridge filter repairs cost $200-$600. DE filter repairs are more expensive at $300-$800 because grid replacement is labor-intensive. Wild Blue Pool Care charges a $150 diagnostic fee credited toward your repair. You receive a written estimate before any work begins.
Sand filters use sand media and require periodic backwashing (reversing water flow to clean the sand). Cartridge filters use pleated paper cartridges and require removal and rinsing — no backwashing. Sand filters are cheaper upfront but cartridges require replacement every few years. Cartridge filters flow at higher rates and require less maintenance.
If your filter is under 10 years old and repair cost is less than 50% of replacement, repair usually makes sense. Older filters, extensive damage, or failed lateral systems often make replacement the better value. We'll recommend the right choice after diagnosis and give you pricing in writing.
Common signs are cloudy water despite proper chemical balance, high pressure gauge reading, visible water leaks, sand in return jets, or a stuck multiport valve. Any of these indicate professional repair is needed — don't wait as poor filtration degrades water quality fast.
Without effective filtration, your water becomes cloudy within hours. Algae blooms rapidly despite chemical treatment. Dirt and debris circulate through your system, potentially damaging the pump and other equipment. A broken filter quickly becomes a much larger, more expensive problem.
